Vicki Sandler is President of APS Energy Services (APSES), headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.  APSES is a competitive energy services company providing commodity risk management and procurement services, energy efficiency, district energy, green, and sustainability solutions throughout the West.  APSES was the first electric provider to serve in California's and Arizona’s deregulated markets, which opened in 1997 and 1999, respectively.  APSES provides energy efficiency services for customers in California, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona and is the leading provider of self-funding sustainability solutions in Arizona and Nevada.  APS Energy Services is a subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (PWCC), an Arizona-based company with consolidated assets of approximately $11.3 billion and annual revenues of $3 billion.  Ms. Sandler has held positions of leadership with the PWCC family for the past 25 years.

Before assuming her duties with APSES, Ms. Sandler was the Director of Energy Marketing and Direct Access Manager at Arizona Public Service Company (APS).  Prior to that she worked with the PWCC CEO on strategies for competitive markets.  She also negotiated competitive wholesale and retail power contracts as senior legal counsel representing APS before FERC and the local utilities commission.

Ms. Sandler is currently a board member of the Western Power Trading Forum, the Alliance for Retail Energy Markets and Arizona Independent Schedulers Association.  In the past, she was Chair of Edison Electric Institute’s power supply task force.  Ms. Sandler has a BS in Economics from the University of Arizona graduating Phi Beta Kappa, where she authored a recognized paper with economics Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Vernon Smith; and she has a Juris Doctorate graduating with distinction from Arizona State University (ASU).  She has been active for the past 25 years as chair of several committees and past Board Chair for the Ahwatukee YMCA and is a committee and Board member for the Metro Phoenix YMCA.  She also serves on a non-profit Coaching for Literacy Board.  Her son is entering, and her daughter already attends, ASU.  Her husband, Jeff, is  a major felony prosecutor.
